MICHAEL JONAS, M.D.
Senior Interventional Cardiologist, Coronary & Peripheral Vascular at Kaplan Medical Center, Israel. Dr. Jonas previously served as a Fellow in interventional coronary and peripheral medicine at BWH Harvard Medical School, and as a Research Affiliate in vascular biology research at Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST). Dr. Jonas brings extensive experience in clinical practice, and in cardiovascular medical device development and testing. He is at the forefront of research and application of atherosclerosis therapies.
PROF. DAN ATAR, M.D.
Head of Cardiology at Oslo University Hospital in Ulleval, Norway; full Professor of Cardiology at the University of Oslo, Norway; and a Visiting Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, US. Dr. Atar trained in Denmark, Switzerland, and the United States before receiving his board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in 1995. His research focuses on myocardial biomarkers, myocardial function, heart failure and cardiovascular pharmacology. He has written over 100 articles and book chapters. He is the past Chairman of the ESC Working Group-3 (Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Drug Therapy), and Associate Editor of the international peer-reviewed journal “Cardiology” (Karger).
